A more realistic setup involves:

Script loading order matters.

If JavaScript runs **before HTML elements exist**, it can cause errors.

* **async**: Downloads in parallel and executes immediately

* **defer**: Downloads in parallel but executes *after* HTML parsing

**Rule of thumb:**

* Use defer for your scripts.
